Leftfield buys Wakefield logistics park for £32 million

Leftfield has completed the acquisition of Prism Park, a distribution logistics park in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, from BGO for £32 million.

Within a mile of the M62, Prism Park comprises two newly built units totalling 207,062 square feet. Unit 2, the larger of the two, is 149,964 square feet and fully let to IFCO Systems UK on a new 15-year lease. Unit 1, comprising 57,089 square feet, is available to lease via CBRE and Carter Towler.

Both units have a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and an EPC ‘A’ rating.

Nico Fourie, chief executive of Leftfield, said in a statement: “This acquisition serves as another example of the high-quality logistics assets we continue to target. It combines a strategic location, a strong tenant profile, and outstanding sustainability credentials, all of which align this asset with our investment strategy.”

Paul Steadman, director, capital markets at CBRE, said: “This sale reflects the ongoing demand for prime, best-in-class logistics units. Recognised as one of Yorkshire’s leading hubs, Prism Park offers two high-specification units in an unrivalled location. It is clear that the sector remains a key priority for investors, and we anticipate ongoing strong sentiment throughout 2025.”

ACRE acted for Leftfield and CBRE acted on behalf of the seller.
